John, If you have sound, but no picture, then the fault could be any number of things. The STANDARD 3.5mm jack actually has two (2) standards, Mono or Stereo. As you have said that if you pull the plug out about way, then the phone reports the headset connected, means you have the wrong jack. If you have a Lintronics box and software you can certainly capture all the codes with it and then use the "XML Generator" found HERE to convert them to an XML file. Bas, The Lutron Solina cannot be controlled by a Beo5 because it does not have an IR facility. See HERE for details

Provided the XML file is correctly setup it will work, its just that the range may not be good. As I said in the other thread, most air-conditioning units are unique when it comes to the remote, so updaing your Beo5 will not solve your problem. You will need an XML file created for your particular air-conditioning model.
