  • Re: Beovision Avant 32 VCR no picture

John, If you have sound, but no picture, then the fault could be any number of things. If you are not a TV engineer or at least have good electronics knowledge, then you will certainly need the help getting this repaired. If there is no faint raster, then it almost certainly means that you have no EHT (Extra High Tension) which is about 25 Kilo Volts

  • Re: Beocom 3 Headset Connection

The STANDARD 3.5mm jack actually has two (2) standards, Mono or Stereo. As you have said that if you pull the plug out about way, then the phone reports the headset connected, means you have the wrong jack. A Mono 3.5mm jack has one black band on the plug and a stereo has two. Below is a picture of a stereo plug, notice the two black insulating bands

  • Re: xml file for mitsubishi heavy industrie aircon

You have downloaded the " Beo5 3rd Party XML Generator version 1.1 " from the Beoworld web site and save it in a directory or on your desktop of your WINDOWS PC. Then just double click on teh file and it will go through the installation process. Any file with a .MSI extension means it is M icro S oft I nstallation file.
  • Re: Lutron IR codes

Lutron Rania devices are intended to be on the wall in place of a standard light switch, so not really what you need. Any product which uses an infrared remote can be made to work with the Beo5
  • Re: xml file for mitsubishi heavy industrie aircon

If you have a Lintronics box and software you can certainly capture all the codes with it and then use the "XML Generator" found HERE to convert them to an XML file. Also, the latest version of Lintronic software also allows you to convert to an XML file. There is a detailed help file in with the Beoworld XML Generator
  • Re: 3rd Party IR Capture and XML Generation using IRSCOPE

Simon, I am sorry to hear that you are having some problems creating your XML files. The "IR WIDGET" is a very good product and cheap and as it happens I am currently writing a Windows based programme to capture using the "IR WIDGET" and convert to an XML file, however there is still much work to be done. However, if you put all
  • Re: Lutron IR codes

Bas, The Lutron Solina cannot be controlled by a Beo5 because it does not have an IR facility. See HERE for details
  • Re: upgrade ir led of beo5

Provided the XML file is correctly setup it will work, its just that the range may not be good. As I said in the other thread, most air-conditioning units are unique when it comes to the remote, so updaing your Beo5 will not solve your problem. You will need an XML file created for your particular air-conditioning model.
  • Re: xml file for mitsubishi heavy industrie aircon

The protocols and method of transmission for air-conditioning systems is very different from controlling STB's. Also, unlike AV equipment from the same manufacturer, almost all air-conditioning systems particularly if they have an LED display on the remote means they transmit all the settings to keep the remote display in sync with the actual unit
  • Re: upgrade ir led of beo5

I can confirm the points made by Guffas, but I do not think the board itself is particularly high in price, but the cost of fitting it may be, depending on where you get it updated. Basiclly, the change was introduced in February 2009 to resolve the issue of third party products having too short or narrow IR-receiver range. The problem only effected
