• Re: BG4002 Down! (Back up already)

Opened up the deck last night, and yes, the belt was still there. When I press "33" (to clean a record before playing), the fine speed control lights up, but nothing else happens.
Sounds silly but have you checked if the belt is still attached?
Nothing is silly. Heck, last night when I put the BG4002 back into the main system, I started playing a record before I'd even put the cartridge back on! I will open the deck Friday night after work and have another look at things. Today is my

Yikes. After playing through two and a half LP sides without incident, the BG4002 just plain stopped in mid-song. Now the platter won't even turn.

Came home this evening and the speed checked out again. Let's all keep our fingers crossed again because the BG4002 is back in the main system! Thanks everyone for help, suggestions, guidance, etc. This truly is an exceptional group of people, and I am very happy to have found Beoworld.

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Wednesday threaders will get this: Rapture Blondie could've easily been mistaken for a Serbian MILF. I am currently playing the Boomtown Rats V Deep on the back up BG4002.

  • Re: BG4002 buying advice

There are others more knowledgeable than me, but as someone who just purchased a 4002 in the past 6 weeks, I wanted to chime in with my opinion. 1. There are any number of fantastic Beograms to choose from. If you buy a 4002, I am sure you will be delighted, as I am with mine. We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to make an important announcement. During all this testing of the BG4002, I've come to realize my Beomaster 1900 makes a superb headphone amplifier. And back to our program. Went back to the BG4002 to find the 45 still on the table. So I played it. Before the stylus even touched down I could tell the
