Agree with above. In addition, to get a virus on Unix, you really do have to collude with the hacker and actually download and extract the program - it will not do it automatically. Therefore don't download or update programs unless you trust the site you are on. I did run ClamXav for a while - and sent the nice chap some money! Also downloaded

Not wishing to stop a sale, but the Beolink 7000 is a truly rotten remote for your system! I have one and almost any other remote will be better. A BL7000 will cost you about £350 for a new one. For this you can almost get a Beo5 which is far more flexible in a one way system like the Avant and Ouverture. If you really want a BL7000, get a system

Fil: Hi. I have a n Avant RF32 DVD with Penta 3's either side at the front and BL 4000's at the rear in quite a large open plan room with a wooden floor. Do i need a BL2 ? OR do i just want one? Tricky one. The Beomaster will need to have capacitors and variable resistors replaced and there are a lot! However a working one is worth more than a bust one. However when you say not mint, it does rather depend on condition. B&O sells on condition and a scruffy working piece will never reach that good a price. The Beocords are almost worthless

Probably quite correct! B&O does not seem to like Vista all the time. I am sure there are people who have it working with Vista, but it is a documented problem. The BV7 does have a dark picture in my view. It is possible to turn up the back light though this reduces the life expectancy. This has to be done through the service menu so will be something to ask the dealer about. I would suggest a hard reset will cure the Sky problem! (Switch it all off at the mains for 2 minutes, Sky box included!)

I agree with 355F. We should be able to have a reasoned discussion on here without it getting heated. I personally prefer plasma screens to LCD for many of the reasons detailed above but each should make their own decision. I like a bit of robust debate but please keep it cordial!
