  • Re: power supply Beo 610

deehbeeh: Yes, no problem to contribute. but... - I have not used this particular radio yet, since I need to get the power supply up and running, so the more help I get on that the faster I can write something :-) - But secondly I need to be humble, there are so many people aout here knowing so much more than I do, but if I can be in anyway helpful

  • Re: New House, New System........????????????

Actually you can if you use the Mac way as all you will need to do is attach the output to Aux on the 2300 and use the iPod to select the tracks/playlists. Have a look at Soundproof's thread - the system will also be future proof to a degree as you music will be lossless and you will be able to change the hardware as required. An external HDD is

  • Re: Remote Buddy on iPod Touch - simply phenomenal

Very flattering but it was Soundproof who brought this device to our attention! And many thanks for that! Once the IR trans is ready for Leopard, I may well change to the iPod as a remote. Afraid to say it, but it rather trumps the Beo5. Especially for computer stored music.

  • Re: New House, New System........????????????

I would rip all my music to hard disc using a lossless format, and use a Mac Mini as a music server. I would have a iPod Touch as an additional remote which will give you two way wireless remote control of all your tracks. Pretty cheap and the only thing you will need is a system which accepts N.Music.

  • Re: HELP - Receiver recommendation??

Rather depends where you are. If in the US, then a B&O TV is rather out as there will not be any cheap old ones! I would suggest that this may not be the best forum to get information on other makes.

  • Re: Suggestions for 8000 system (request for advice.. not an advertisment!!)

Agree with you that the value seems low for what you get. The Beolab 8000 system (which is what it was known as) was the last real audiophile Hi-Fi made by B&O till the Beolab 5. Properly restored and with the correct speakers, it is still quite a performer. It is however just too big for most people and this is why it is not worth much. The Beogram

  • Re: BeoVision 7-40 Mark III - Customer Review

The Beonic Man: A valid point Peter. Perhaps you should adopt the same thinking with the Beo 5 and many similar posts. It depends whether you want to compliment the B&O philosophy and work alongside the dealer networks or not. I would imagine that you do since the link to the configuration tool was swiftly removed. I think consistency is key here

  • Re: BeoVision 7-40 Mark III - Customer Review

The reason we don't post the code to access service menus is that an enthusiastic amateur can really mess up a TV by playing with the service settings. More true with CRT models but it is still perfectly possible to damage a BV7. Said amateur will then call the service department in and when damage or ridiculous settings found, will then say that

  • Re: Beocenter 2200 new stylus

If you want a new one, your local B&O dealer can get you a Soundsmith SMMC4. Not cheap though! About £140 I think. After that, ebay I suppose for a used one though this is always risky!

iPod dock jack to Powerlink to BL2. BL2 to both 8000s.
