I suppose it must be an option setting problem. What option is the Beoport set to? Is it different to what it was. Try unplugging and plugging back in just in case it is a ML crash.

I realise that the choices are limited - it was designed to stimulate debate - and you have not disappointed!

It would seem to me that the future developments in the delivery of music and video will see far more use of digital storage. On that basis, what do you think will be the key feature in a B&O system? [Poll]

It is a Philips CDM2 mechanism - unfortunately one of the most sought after ones! The following machines use something similar and can be cannibalised: MARANTZ CD273 - CDM2 CAMBRIDGE AUDIO CD2 - CDM2 / 4xTDA1541 MARANTZ CD45 - CDM2/29 / TDA1540 PHILIPS CD-150/1 - CDM2/29 PHILIPS CD-350 - CDM2/29 / TDA1541 MISSION PCM4000 - CDM2-10 / TDA1541 MARANTZ

Most non B&O amplifiers use RCA plugs and so you will ned a 5 pin DIN socket to two RCA connector with an extra earth wire running from the casing of the DIN plug to the earth on the amplifier. They do come up on eBay from time to time. Remember that either the amplifier or the Beogram will need a RIAA fitted - see this artcle .

I suppose you have tried the Camcorder input? Another way if you have an iPod is to use an iTrip FM transmitter.

The different type numbers are often just for different regions if listed for the same model and only the last digit changes.

In my view possibly the best receiver made by B&O. I have had all the good ones and this is the one I have kept for my listening system. Capacitors may need replacing and they can have other niggles but they have lots of power and excellent sound. £33 is a bargain if it works! What is broken on it? I have just dismantled one - long story!
-
Wood I would imagine - but as there is only one original one known, tricky to be sure. The person who can tell you about this is Ronny Mortensen at B&O.

How much RAM do you have in the MBP compared to the MB? Just bought a Black MB for my wife with 2Mb of Ram and it seems to fly!
