I would insist on replacement or refund if you are not happy. I had mine refunded when they couldn't make it work in the way it should - no questions. I did have a very good relationship with the then manager though and it was he who suggested this. If yours is not working as it should, it should be replaced or you get a refund - they have tried

I really don't see why Option settings should change this but try! Set it to Audio option 1 - do you know how to do that?

The cartridges that fit a 4002 are: SP15, MMC3000,MMC4000,MMC5000,MMC6000, MMC20S,MMC20E, MMC20EN,MMC20CL,MMC10E However none of these are available new so you should consider a Soundsmith cartridge. I have a SMMC20EN in my 4004 and it is superb. The SMMC20CL and SMMC20CL+ are supposed to be even better. I reckon $250 is OK for a good 4002. Paid more

The Aux out is just a line out so should just work. You have plugged it into the Aux out and not the Aux in? (Sorry for the suggestion!)

Which BV3 is it? 28 or 32? Have you downloaded the Product Configuration Guide software? That will tell you how to tune the set in.

You have run a co-axial cable as well as the ML cable?

Alex: I'm hopefully going to be testing some out with mains conditioners at some point (apparently BeoLab 9s benefit hugely from this). You'll have done a double blind trial then!
