Have to confess that I don't know why this isn't working - I would have thought the Line Out would work no matter what the Option setting was. Are you sure the external amplifier is working? Have you tried another line source?

I would guess so. The reason that you have Option 0 is so that you don't have two active IR eyes in one room. Option 0 turns the one off on the BC2 and it communicates via SCART. You get double commands with two active.

One of the common problems here is that the motor wears. Not insoluble but needs an expert's touch! I would suggest that Tim Jarman if you are in the UK is the man to contact. Just fixed mine! You can contact him via www.beocentral.com - there is a contact page. Don't bother with the forum as we no longer use it much.

Well done so far!! Tricky to diagnose from afar, but the MMC3000 will be getting quite old! What you clearly need is more B&O so you have something to check the cartridge on! Definitely try switching the whole system off and then on again. ML gets a bit precious about disconnecting and reconnecting in muy experience! And my Beoport box has its moments too!

With the Beo4, have the system in Stand by, then press LIST and the red dot at the same time. The screen will probably read ADD? Using the up key, press till OPTION? is seen. Press GO. You will then see V.OPT flashing.Press the up key again and you will see A.OPT . Press 1 and then GO. The BC2 should flash its LED when you do that. Then see if it works

There are three types of stereo B&O cartridges. The original SP series which fit the early decks with the round arm - BG1000, 1200, 3000 and Beocenter 3500 amongst others. The next series was the MMC20 series which was around for some time which came in with the Beogram 4000 and was used in most readial decks with the square section arm - BG1100
