I doubt it is the belt. The motor will be running slow. I would start by running the deck for a few hours at 45 - see if it speeds up! There are controls to alter the speed but I only have the service manual for the 1800 though I am pretty sure the RX was very similar. There should be two holes on the bottom of the deck which lead to some variable resistors

I would suggest two members could help - Martin (Dillen) can probably suggest a supplier or supply them and Frede at Classic Audio restores these so could no doubt help. Both are Danish.

It can control them but is going to be a very hobbled device. Up to you clearly , but the BC9500 or Beosystem 7000 or 4500 are the ones to get if you want a BL7000. Becoming less reliable these days so be careful!

Not sure! The service manual for the BM5000 is on site and includes an exploded diagram of the MCP5000. Looking at the service manual of the 6500, it does look a bit different.

That will be fine. Remember that you need an earth from the metal casing of the DIN plug.

Have you set the tracking weight correctly? It does sound as if this cartridge is on its last legs - the suspension may be hardening, Try shining a bulb onto the cartridge so it gets good and warm. That might help! I would get digitising !!

In a normal link room, use the LIST to go to A,SETUP, and this takes you to the tone controls.

The CL has a Contact Line profile for the diamond. It was a slightly simplified version of the Pramanik profile seen on the MMC6000 which itself was a modified Shibata profile. These profiles resemble an elliptical profile but with a reduced horizontal contact area and increased vertical contact area. I have never heard of any special CLs though that
