I agree that LCD is clearly the correct screen type for computers - using my mermaid right now! However plasma would definitely be my choice for a big TV screen.

It does sound as if the belt is off! The service manual is not on site - yet! I have an original and will scan it in asap! Rather a good one! Martin can possibly get you a belt - it is a round section one. It may well just have fallen off though! Could be inside!

At a guess, that is the space for the optional RIAA amplifier. You don't need it if you have an amplifier with a dedicated Phono input.Very clever feature but the deck works fine without it.What doesn't work?

I've added the V.AUX to my Beo4 and i can play without any problems. Except one. I've always been able to connect my sound from the TV to the stero

True - but you would be surprised by just how good some of the older equipment sounds! Take the Beolab 5 out of the equation and I reckon I could put together a system which would frighten almost any of the current range.

I take it that this is a US model? In Europe you would use the SCART connection as this has the control connection as well. I suppose I would use the Audio R + L connections - I don't suppose the US BV9 has the equivalent Data socket?

You can get a STB Controller for your AV9000 - I have one which works my Sky box. I also don't seem to have a problem with the settings - I do use a Beo4 but I can change the settings and then press EXIT and the menu goes. Never done this before now though as the settings seem fine!

Has the big advantage that you can access all the sources on the master set on the link set. Think DVD, VCR, Satellite as well as any audio sources. All can be controlled from the link room. I have Sky+ attached to my main set but can access this on my link set so can watch either live satellite or recorded programmes in my bedroom. Brilliant system

Could do - it is what dealers are effectively doing - but each set up is tailored for a particular owner so might not be that useful.
