I've had the exact same problem with my Beocenter 2. It was recently sent off for servicing, and the technician replaced the entire drive mechanism. The technician, however, did not update or change the software. I'm still having the same problem. Therefore, I'm agreeing that it must be a software issue.

It's like trading a Ford Pinto for an Audi A8. 1. The audio improvements are very great and noticeable. The AV7000 only supports Dolby Pro Logic; however, the BS1 supports Dolby Digital and DTS. 2. The BS1 has excellent video processing, line-doubling, and 1080i support. I always thought that the AV7000's attempts at improving video did far

I, too, had a similar problem. In my case, I kept the same button but changed the label of the button to "turntable" and it worked. This makes no sense, but it worked.

With my Avant and Apple TV, I found that I could not use the "V.Aux" command (if connected to the V.Aux input) on the Beo4 but rather had to use the "TV" button on the Beo4 to toggle to the Apple TV connection. Granted, this is a Beosystem 1 based system rather than a Beosystem 3 based system -- still I thought it might be of some

Even though you plan to use the iPod Touch as a remote, the new software update for the Avant will enable it to control a mac mini via your B&O remote. I am doing this and it works very well. You can rip the movies either to the mac mini or access them remotely if they are on your iMac and select and control playback via Front Row with your Beo

I'm not sure if this would work the same with a PC, but this works for me with a mac and beoport with iTunes: You take the existing buttons on the Beo 5 for Album, Artist, Genre, and Playlist that appear on the Beo 5 menu when you touch "N.Music" and allow them to generate sub-menus by selecting that option under "advanced" on

Good news, Paul. It seems that the navigation buttons on the round part of the Beo5 ARE programmable. From the "Edit" screen, you can right click on the button and change the IR commands and create macros. I noticed that B&O has created macros for the BeoCenter 2 MK1 to add the "go" command after the navigation buttons on the

I certainly don't disagree with you. Hopefully B&O will update the Beosystem 1 and Beosystem 3 to provide some options to take advantage of such features of the Beo5. Another area where the current programming of the Beosystem 1 does not take advantage of the capabilities of the Beo5 is where it has multiple video sources toggled on the "TV"

Samsung now offers a dual-format HD DVD / BD player.

I've been programming macros to access specific artists, albums, playlists, etc. with N.MUSIC using iTunes with Beoport and BM-Link on a mac. It occurred to me that every time a new song or album is added to the iTunes music library it could then become necessary to adjust the IR string on the Beo5 for the particular CIPHER numeric value. Has anyone
