AS you can tell- im in the plasma camp and dont like LCD- thats just a personal preference. It depends what your veiwing habits are and that how I started my response. Pc, gaming, all high def- get the BV7 BV9- movies- bigger sceen- handles SD better IMO plasma is nicer to watch. In the end the difference is screen size is enormous and makes the difference

Actually have you noticed that playing with brightness on an lcd actually does very little? thats the technology!

Not withstanding the different technologies there is a very big difference in screen sizes which if you like movies you simply have to have the bigger screen. Plasma always produces an easy to watch picture of some depth- in fact a contrast ratio thats 4 times better than LCD and movement is less of a problem as well. It depends what your watching as
