I'm going to repeat what I just said in another thread... I'm not sure that Apple is worthy of all the "build quality" accolades we seem to give it. Initial build quality, perhaps... but as far as longevity is concerned - I'm sure they're as good/better than other computer companies, but they are a long way behind B&O on

mason: If you want to see innovative design and amazing build quality check out the new imac – it is sublime. Before you gush all over Apple about "sublime" build quality, take a look at the iBook history (for example). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBook_G3#Quality_issues If I recall there were also issues with the iPod mini... probably

Chrisreunion: Indeed a Masterlink wireless would have been a right step forward, this would have enabled products like the BeoLab 3500 to be connected with a single cable instead of the cable mess we have to deal with (Powerlink, + another separate IR eye). This is no longer true with the latest software release. Please see this thread: http://forum

beolife: Stan Arde you saying that I can only play N-Music thru the beoport active speakers & not the rest of the systems sources connected to either to the Audio or video master? I was under the impression that the Beoport acted like a link room in that you did have access to masterlink sources. Simon I believe this is so with the Mac/BM-Link solution

2 caveats that I can think of: 1) The computer must be connected to the BeoPort for music to play 2) If you're using a Mac, you can only hear N.Music, not other sources. Stan

Thanks. Mine, however, are supposed to come tomorrow.

You should have a 1 cable running from the BS9000 to the BL2's input (the BL2 has 3 connectors - one is input and 2 are output), then run a cable from each of the BL2's outputs to each BL8000... or if you have a splitter cable, then run this from one of the BL2's outputs to each BL8000. You want to have the BL8000s connected to the BL2 so

Or... you could copy the music you want to hear on to your iPod Touch and plug your headphones into that... then, you do not even need an outlet!!!

I have never had any issues with the one B&O masterlink junction box that I installed a few years ago. If only I could solder ... Here's a story about my inability to solder... Fresh out of a presigious university with a degree in Computer Engineering and a couple classes short of a degree in EE, my first assignment was creating firmware for

Do you know if B*** has any US based retailers? My quick search on the net didn't turn up any. I suppose I could reach across the pond, but was really hoping to source from NA dealer stock because of delivery time and shipping costs (maybe exchange rate, too). Also, I would prefer the *small* junction boxes which it doesn't look like B*** has
