It has to be the Beogram CDX. Excellent sound and will work with any Beomaster right back to the Beomaster 900! Based on the Philips CD104. Almost bomb proof apart from one hinge, some solder joints and the plastic rests for the lid (they get sticky!). The motor can need servicing but otherwise faultless.

If anyone has a user manual for this TV, I would be immensely grateful for a scanned copy. I have had an urgent request for Christmas!!

To access the BS4 on another system, the BS4 has to be the master. You cannot access a slave from a master, only the other way around. Why do you want to do this?

I agree same screen, but not the same video processor, or indeed sound system and DVD. Hard to argue against the Samsung at one tenth the price though! The Beolab 5 won't work with it easily though!

I don't think the remotes differ but the 2400 does not have the 7 pin DIN connection to attach the 4004 only a 5 pin (just had a look at the service manual). Therefore to get remote control, you need the 2400-2.

In the first event, I would remove the lid completely and see if this cures the problem - I suspect it will. If it does, it will be a case of putting it back on very carefully! Had a similar incident with mine once.

Interesting thread. And of course the Panasonic does have Leica written on it as well! I must confess, I would have bought the Panasonic too. But if I were buying a rangefinder film camera, it would be a Leica!

Via MCL, yes, but not with the built in transceiver it would seem.

It was introduced mid September. Look for S/W 5.10a though that did predate the hardware. Master units from S/N 20405179 onwards. Not sure that the Mk1 is upgradeable.
