I do the same using my beolink system and beoport controlled by an iTouch. Internet radio and all my music easily obtainable. Don't need wireless as the house is already wired.

A Beomaster 6500 or 7000 with work fine. I am sorry but I cannot recommend a US repairer.

Very true. I must confess that I am less enamoured with some of the modern range though I do think that this is usually a fault with the genre technology rather than B&O in particular. I too have voted with my feet for a number of products!

Don't agree. In my view the BL5 is if anything under priced and they have been reviewed most favourably. Have a look here . I certainly think that it is the bargain in the present range. But speakers will divide opinion and each to their own.

That system is fine. The S75s are surprisingly efficient and the amplifier in the 1400 is really not bad and can cope with low impedances fine. If you play the volume at nearer 10 , then the distortion can be harmful but I dare say your ears will warn you of this. I love the S75 speakers - I had a beautiful rosewood pair that looked and sounded wonderful

You are making this very complicated! Why not just have the one BM7000 and use a MCL link system? You can have 6 rooms this way and all come with transceivers so you can control the system using remotes. The BM7000 won't work with a Beoport but you don't need one anyway. I would suggest attaching the output of the Mac Mini directly to the Aux

Have a good collection of 6000s and have had some for many years. None have gone wrong and they remain the best phone I have ever used. One bad one does not make the whole lot rubbish.

It does vary. I remember going into a Sevenoaks shop and looking at record players - I was thinking of getting an 'audiophile' deck. Are you sure they are in the correct speaker outlets? There are four outputs - Speaker 1 - Right and Left - and Speaker 2 - Right and Left. The 1900 is not one I would recommend taking apart if this is your first repair! tricky to put back together! We do have the service manual though.

The CD5500 is the best CD player that B&O made. The CD50 is pretty bomb proof as far as the laser is concerned but suffers from other faults. You should be able to get a Beocord 5500 for less than £50.
