If bass is missing, there are probably holes in the old foam surrounds.
Absolutely true - CX must be airtight (infinite baffle principle) - otherwise the bass will be "short-circuited"
-
But yesterday they did sound awful, really horrible. Was my memory wrong (i.e. do I just not like these speakers at all) or do they just need to be refurbished? So I have three questions for you all:
CX are intended to be placed close to a wall (wall mounted) or even close to/in a corner ! - if placed "freestanding"
I've been told that in september the Beovision 8-40 will get a 200/240Hz Panel. Does anyone know if they gonna use edge backlighting to just like the beovision 10-40
No, I don't, but ... ... the 7-40s (Mk5 version) panel recently has been upgraded from 100/120 to 200/240 Hz without changing the backlight
-
Price? Which Beovisions aresupported? I`m thinking of this product: http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-4x4-HDMI-Matrix-Switcher-over-Cat5-Cat6.html Stefan
8x8 ~ 5-6 k EUR TVs with menue - activate function - "HDMI Matrix" - like BV 10-40/46, BV 7-40/55, ... for larger setups / distances up to ~ 50m rather
With an AV9000 the BL4500 displays working fine BUT When I put the powerlink cables into the Beocenters and into the BL4500... then nothing happens, and I'm clueless now...
Turn the BeoCenter "OFF" - Use the VERY SAME PL-Cables you used to connect to the AV 9000 (dispay worked - so it's obviously

Minimum requirement for built in HD-SAT is 7-32 Mk3 - sorry!
-
As far as I know there is no internal DVB HD for BV7-32 MK I and. II. If this is not the case I would be more than happy! Please Vienna give us your lights !!
My informations (Central Europe - maybe not valid for other markets) are: BV7-32 Mk1 Type 9310-9320 and Mk2 Type 9321-9329 need FIRST being updated
-
... would like to know what is needed, espcially in terms of wiring
Each " Central HD-Source " e.g. Video-Server, SAT-Receiver, .... requires a pair of CAT7 Cables from each "Client TV" to "Central Tech-Area" For example: 3 "Central Sources" >> 6 CAT7 to TV "Livingroom"

For a 7-32 MK5 (new, ex factory) you have to add approx. EUR 650 for DVB-HD T/C/S2 (HD-Terr. and HD-Cable and HD-Sat) DVB-HD T/C (HD-Terr. and HD-Cable) is approx. EUR 550 MK1 and MK2 have to be "HD-Ready" - HD-ready upd-module approx EUR 400 + labour Compatibility - see attached pdf.
