This thread is turning out to be a lot of fun.
Ever thought that you might have spoken too soon Linder? More a lesson in how wars can be started! For what it's worth I am currently listening to Radio Paradise NRadio through a BM2000 married to S45's and a Pinnacle/Roku Soundbridge. Equipment spanning

Surprised no one has come up with the marketing ploy of selling remastered CD's in separate categories for listening to on Hi Fi equipment (with dynamic contrast) and on MP3 players (loud and flat)! Graham
Considering what seems to be an elevated level of tension this week on BeoWorld... Sorry, this thread made me
Same here! Don't be disheartened rednik. You're not the first person to make a valid point using an example that completely undermines it (or proves the point in an unexpected way!) If only
Most BeoMasters and BeoCenters had a possibillity to mount this antenna on the back. But I can't seem to find any fixing possibilities for the antenna on any of my BeoMasters 8000. So I think it is not possible to mount this antenna on BeoMaster 8000....
I've got several vintage BMs, but not the 8000
yes it seems that part is missing. it will be pretty much impossible to find it somewhere I think?
Might be a case of having to buy a complete non-working BM on eBay just to salvage the part. Unless someone else knows better, I think they are all the same regardless of exact model. Looking at a couple of my BMs

If it's got the standard Beomaster aerial plug-in slot it should be sticking out at the back of the unit and should be very obvious. Probably some owners removed them (two screws) if using an external aerial connection. Graham

1949 shaver advert in this sequence must explain why the B&O shaver is such a rarity! (This is a great sequence of adverts on the official B&O site.) The 1200 Beomaster has a timeless simplicity. On the television front, it's too soon to judge many current models. The Avant was probably the best of the CRTs, but for looks it's difficult

This thread has gone a little off topic! Does 'Bentleyman' wants to know about starting handles and topping up the radiator with p** or roadside repairs with lolly sticks, when he asked for a justification of MP3 etc? LOL! (Unless the Bentley is a distant aspiration, of course.) Back on topic: we all like to think that we make choices, but the

In the long-run, manufacturers/ technologies dictate how we listen to music. You can only resist for so long! I hate electronic book readers and will always prefer to handle and read a book by turning those paper pages. However, at some point in the future the printing of books (and newspapers) will simply become uneconomic in comparison with the electronic

At least it doesn't look like a B&O product being abused this time! With gold approaching £25k per kilogram, and 28kg of gold going into the TV, I wouldn't mind betting that you might get your money back in 10 years if gold continues to rise in price! Graham
