put a tape in and just leave it the longer the better It worked for me on an old player a while back

you could purchase a tape cleaner, I used to work in a video shop many years ago and we just left the cassette playing but to be honest buy the sounds of it your heads maybe shot anyway!! It cost nothing to run a cassette for a few hours I think B&O will just replace the video mechanism so it could cost a few quid Cheers Nick

Sounds to me like the heads in the player, one trick is leave the video playing and see if the cassette will clean off the dirt if not I think it will be new heads! Thanks Nick
