Hi, I've found a very good solution for adding wireless network functionality to your Beosound 5: Asus wl-330gE http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3323/3262426782_109da7054f.jpg?v=0 It fits in the palm of your hand! It can act as different devices (e.g. Access point, Ethernet->Wlan-Adapter ...). This is a product where somebody though till the end

When my Beosound 5 is working, I love it and I love it when it's just sitting on the shelf. But the Software is a REAL problem. I don't think that B&O should have used Windows XP embedded - perhaps that's the cause why the unit has so many problems. The Beosound 5 controller and the Beomaster 5 should both have their own software and

With products like the Beosound 5 in its current state they will not bounce back, they will fail ... Back to their core competence "MADE IN DENMARK" with the expected quality for their components: - Exterior - Interior - Software The Software seems to be a major issue for actual products and it should achieve the same high quality level as

Can it switch the light at alarm time or do I have to do it manually?

Powerreset = Schalter

The harddrive does not spin down, it's running all the time. And now, don't do this at home kids ;-) Yesterday I connected a wire from the ground of the wallsocket to a screw from my Beomaster 5. I used a charge indicator before touching the blank parts on the wallsocket - just in case ... I tested it with and without the masterlink cable and

Looks good! Another question: Can I switch the light as an alarm source, too? Would be nice to automaticaly let this thing switch of the lights in the bedroom for waking up. I hope the display backlight is not as bad as the one on the Beo 4 cinema and I hope that the software is not as unstable as the Beosound 5! "Oh sorry darling, my alarm clock

Sonst ruf doch einfach mal direkt in München an und frag' nach. Vielleicht hat da jemand Ahnung!?

The BS 5 is masterlinked to a BS 3000 (with N.Music update). I have no keyboard connected, only my Asus Ethernet-WLAN-Adapter via Ethernet + USB for Powersupply to the Asus-Adapter. Works perfect and my BS 5 had all the problems BEFORE I decided to go wireless with this adapter. Yesterday I made a "Recovery" through the service menu. After
