I am sure I read somewhere that the 1610 version does not work with the AV9000?? hence the dedicated converter?
-
I think he needs the AV9000 ML converter to connect his AV9k to his BS7k... Its what I used when I had my 4500 connected to my Av9k but I connected the speakers to the TV and not the BS. Only problem is that the AV9k link is unique to the unit.. I dont think you could use the normal converter?

Good move imo - I think the two brands have a similar outlook on design and BMW/B&O may work better than Audi.

Fantastic news! Just makes you wonder who is looking at Beoworld aswell as demonstrating how important the site/community is for the brand. Best thing is, BW can only get better!

The 9000 will make a sound when playing, this is normal and depends I think on the thickness on the cd. The sound that I think JS is reporting here is a whine which is very different. I had the same and was fixed by replacing the CD mech. The whine is very high pitched and not a scraping sound that the cd makes when spinning. Get your local service
