My advice would be to buy from a dealer who isn't reluctant to install several speaker/sub combinations for you to compare!

The major issue you have converting video is that you'll need additional hardware - a video capture card for your PC. These needn't be very expensive and some (most?) TV cards are capable. It would be better to have a card that accepted the composite signal or s-video rather than the rf modulated "aerial" output. Most cards will have
