Hi Seedar, You might try unplugging from the mains and taking yuor battery out for five minutes. It may re-set itself. You can also disable the alert signal----- dot7--scroll to setup menu-----ok----scroll to alert signal----ok---scroll to off----ok Howevr, this doesn't fix the problem as you no longer have alert for other things. It sounds to me, very likely that the dome foil membrane under the rubber key pad is at fault. These are readily available on eBay and if you can work a screwdriver fairly easy to replace. It may only need cleaning you could try taking it out and cleaning it very gently with methanol or something similar (I use isopropanol from my chemist) You could
