Yes mine also detatches and you should find the same with the tonearm , but I would treat this as if it is wired when trying to remove! I would guess yours is early before things resorted to the more permenant wired solution seen in later decks.

I was faced with a similar issue so used a two-pack adhesive to glue everything back again. However, I am not so sure this was a permenant solution as it appears to have come loose again...Bear in mind a few carts have been removed an re-inserted since then! Graham (Joeyboygolf) has got (or had) a similar issue and was waiting for a donor... @Peter

I like the white covers I think, but I would not touch the sides personally and I like white! Of course it is a taste and / or an evironment thing.

I hope Llewelyn doesn't mind if I speak on his behalf here - but the 6000 you refer to is now a fully operational unit valve1, so I would guess no longer available for spares!

Not sure if this applies to the 4002, but possibly worth checking anyway - where ever any mounting point is bonded to the glass, make sure the bond is good and strong! The last screen I took off an LX was ready to fall off by itself!
