Kokane81: trust me the dvd player will work with a beo4 you don't need to only use the buttons on the bc2. The DVD function in BC2 is controlled by the TV via the scart cable with DATA link. but maybe if it's in option 2 it's possible??

OK If you call DVD2 "DVD" in connection menu it works like a DVD when you turn it on, if it's called V-mem it works like a Hdd recorder. And V.aux it starts in time shift mode... As you have HDR2 you would call it DVD because that is the function you will use.
