Hi Rex, assumig that you're in the US, this is the NA forum , you can order a non B&O-DK part 898127 which ought to take care of your issue. Similarly, to complete a thought earlier in this thread, the 'blue box' part number (in the US) is 898125. Russ

Rex, ring 'em up again, and ask if they have a method for using a BeoLab 2 with a non-B&O receiver. The part number I gave you is one created by B&O America, so it is not an 'official' B&O/DK part. Russ

True, Alex; but in order to limit confusion, even with BeoSystem 3 present, the digital connection is made directly between BeoSound 9000 and the BeoLab 5's. BeoSystem 3 manages and directs, and passes analog signals to the 5's (including Surround sound)...but for listening top CD's the digital stream bypasses the BS-3. And to nail down

Just to make certain that we're all clear on the point, due to various native languages: BeoSound 9000 + BeoLab 5 with no other equipment is perfect as is.

Most likely you are simply missing one piece of kit. Like the BeoLab 2, the BeoLab 7-X speakers were intended strictly for use with a B&O master with PowerLink outputs. As such, there is no 'Line in' setting on the speaker, which means the internal amplifier never switches on (the trigger is in cluded in the PL cable). Here in the US B&O

Welcome Ktup! Karsten is more correct, here. If you are planning to use a BeoSystem 3 in the future, you can rest easy. There is no digital connection to be made from the BS-9000 to the BS-3, ML only. Even in the case where one is using the BeoCenter 2/DVD you run the Coax S/PDIF output to the 5's first and then on to the BS-3. Attached as Karsten

I don't know, maybe its just that I'm used to American politics...but the poll seems rigged somehow. ;-) Russ

All of the non-B&O adaptors are 5-pin. The 2 extra pins were used for data-link devices. Russ

From your local dealer order the 4-RCA/Phono to 5-pin DIN adaptor, plug into the 7pin Aux socket and the run RCA cables to the Bose system. Russ

Peter! Thank you! Lee, with all the respect due someone who could oust me from the forums on a whim...You're WRONG about BeoSound 2. From back to front: the BS-2 is made from Stainless Steel, not Aluminium, and from the beginning it was intended "to take on the patina of use by its owner" which I think I quote correctly from the marketing
