Just picked up 3 sets of CX speakers for an absolute song from a really nice chap in Warrington. He also had a BC8500 which he's getting rid of & offered it to me for 20 quid including BL1000 remote. He had absolutely no idea of its value (even though he bought it new in the late 80's) & was shocked when I suggested it was worth at least

True about the grills - I have a pair with a grill missing but I have a plan to make one before they hit ebay. Ill post it in the workbench section if it's successful. Chris.

The number 2 you see is actually a ? which simply means there is a problem reading the disc. Could be any number of reasons with capacitors/dry joints being the most common. Chris.

Ypu'll be surprised how many collectors of ashtrays there are out there & how much they are willing to pay. About 18 months ago I sold a Beswick ashtray in the shape of a Jaguar steering wheel for £175. Chris.

I think I have 2 spare power supplies Graham 1 for each type of BG6000 - tangential 4000 based one & the radial one. The one for the BG4000 based 6000 is from (I think) a 4002 & hopefully will be the same as yours (I know there were several versions of the 4002). Chris.

Dunno Steve, I'm assuming there's a plug socket for a motorised stand on the BV6? That's where I'd start - if so then just plug it in & see if it turns before starting on any mod's. Chris.
