Yes, I read that. I have the deepest respect for Tim, he is extremely skilled and I'm sure he's right. I never saw that symptom with a dead prescaler myself which is why it wasn't part of my advice but of course, just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean that it cannot happen. I suppose that IC can fail in different ways and I

Maybe the processor is not correct for the board version. Martin

That's the correct part ! Popular speaking: The prescaler basically sets the starting point for the CPU to count. The prescaler counts the first batch of pulses up to the point where it gets interesting, something like the first 75-80 millions or so (remember the 74.8 MHz readout from Beomaster 6000 with a dead prescaler) and the CPU will then take

Yes, that's a funny one. It looks like a Dirigent which, I believe, it basically is but it reads Grand Prix on the dial. It is the radio part from a Grand Prix TV 609K Radio/TV combination where the TV part was cut away and the speakers (strangely) mounted underneath. The plastic backside has obviously been cut from the larger cabinet to fit this

The Beomaster 4000 is very similar to the Beomaster 3000 (and 3000-2) in these aspects so if you do a search in the forum, you will find more information but the missing channel could be a switch problem. Try playing around a bit with the switches when it fails again. It could also be a problem with the leads that go from the tuner board to the switch

Probably. I'll let you know if I get any 1702 fret requests... Martin

If the frequency readout is correct, I'm sure the prescaler is fine. Check the tuning voltage and the plugs/connectors related to it. Check also the interconnecting plugs/connectors between the two tuner boards. Regarding the prescaler, I recommend using an original TFK U264B component. The newer so-called "replacements" doesn't always

So now we need to find out who bought them. I suppose, we can rule out Lee ? Martin

From serial number 1442001 the Beovox M70 received a new woofer and four or five changes were introduced to the crossover. The fastening of the front grill also changed to a pin/spring lock instead of glue. Your crossover looks original and seems to be of the later type. Martin

Could be a bit missing somewhere. I agree, monitor the tuning voltage while you tune up and down. Martin
