Well I suppose one shouldn't be surprised that the Danes are the first recipients! I have ordered one; much as I enjoy Apple TV, it is a bit tedious for listening to music, (same with the BC2). Fully expecting some time with tech support though as with most 1st generation computer products :( P

B & O in Jersey likewise sell the Pioneer & Panasonic plasmas alongside the BV4's, and I agree with Razlaw that the BV4 picture is superior. With the BS3 and some Beolabs whats not to like? Except the price of course :)

Sadly also have the sudden shutdown problem since updating to 4.24 on my BS3. Add this to dodgy firmware on Beo5 (still love it), and a replacement Beocom 6000 not fully compatible with my exchange (the old pstn was), and one wonders if B & O are struggling with the increasingly complex software required for these devices...

I agree the Beosound 1 is a very nice player, though if you are looking for alternatives to compare with try the B & W Zeppelin iPod dock. I believe B & O also have an iPod dock scheduled for later this year P

Well, I am with you. Recently called by a Lowe dealer and was not convinced by the picture quality on their sets. B & O still set the benchmark for my eyes!

Beosound 1 with ipod dock!

I have the ATV & PS3 with my BS3 & BV4, but what do I need to integrate with the Beo4/5? What are the IR transponders and who supplies them? Is it best to get the dealer involved? Thanks. P

I have the BV8 26 for a smaller room and find it to be an excellant tv, though I have seen this side by side with the bigger 32 in a showroom, and had the impression that the picture was marginally better on the bigger screen - maybe a slightly better panel?

The technology may be changing rapidly, but if people are still happy viewing MX's and Avants 10 - 20 years on, why not the 6-26's and the 7-32's? In my opinion the picture quality of the current range is outstanding - what improvements are we to expect other than small incremental benefits. Reminds me of the hype and constant upgrading
