[quote user="deaddruid"] Oh! I didn't realise that the outputs were different. I'd assumed that the two emitters simply went in parallel, so I would need (for example) to avoid having two Humax boxes, but instead have a Topfield and a Humax, to avoid the control signals getting mixed up. If the splitter provides different signals to

Bang & Olufsen have an IR-Y adaptor part number 7229212. The two jack sockets are colour coded, one is chrome the other is gold. This enables you to differentiate between STB (V.AUX) and STB (SAT). The Bang & Olufsen emitter cables are a standard length but I'm sure that you could source other lengths from Xantech possibly? Hope that helps

If your set is 6 months old, you may want to update the software for your DVB module. This can be downloaded from the main Bang & Olufsen website to a USB pen drive. All instructions are included. http://www.bang-olufsen.com/dvb-hd/software-downloads If the set was bought new, it will be under warranty so if you don't feel confident to tackle

I have nearly finished reading Stephen Frys "the fry chronicles". In it he memtions his flat mate at Cambridge and how much he enjoyed his Bang & Olufsen

When you store a number in the phonebook, you must include the whole area code. Caller ID looks for the whole number even if your next door neighbour calls you. Hope that helps.

The norm is that a quick press of the stand by button will switch off products in the local room (wherever the remote is being used). A longer press of the stand by buttton will switch off the whole system. Opman

Worth bearing in mind that although it is possible to connect BeoCentre9000 via a BeoLink convertor, this model cannot be option programmed. This may inhibit its use in certain set ups. One way around this is to tape over the ir sensor under the front of the unit, this effectively puts it into option 0 as it stops respoding to ir signals. Opman
