Hi all: I have recently moved my Beovision 1, unplugged it and forgotten my pin - thought I remembered it, entered the wrong one and locked the TV. I have phoned b&o to get the original pin but I don't think this is the one that I thought it was (I bought it pre owned). Is there a cheap way to sort this or is b&o going to charge me a fortune

Hi: I believe that you will need a phono pre-amp to connect a turntable to a modern amp without a phono socket. Cheap ones are available from Maplin but they do "exactly what it says on the tin" and are therefore quite plasticy: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=28732 NAD do a slightly more expensive one (although I have been told

Hi all: Does anyone know how to tune an MX 4000. I have just powered one up and it has preset station labels etc but there is no reception from the portable antenna I have. This could be because the reception is so bad in Cambridge. However, I cannot see in the menus the option to scan or reset tuning. Is there this option and how do I get to it? Thanks

Hi: I like the idea of the CDX/V6000 project and think this is something I could do. That said aren't CDXs relatively expensive? If anyone has a broken one that still works in terms of the eject mechanism I would be happy to mess around with it. The kind offer of an Avant isn't practical - I would be so anxious/cautious not to blow myself up

Hi all: I was wondering if anyone with any electroincs knowledge would be able to help. I have an interest in electroincs yet since my GCSE days I have not touched a soldering iron. I would like a hobby - something to do in the evenings and therefore I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could build as a project. I guess that as a teacher

Hi: Do those radiograms with TVs inbuilt ever come up for sale? Don't know why but I would like one! Thanks Graham

I do indeed try and refrain from such a regimented application of garrulous lexica as it becomes difficult to rephrase when teaching secondary school children. However, I have got them to use hyperbole correctly and jingoistic which I am quite pleased about. Next stop verisimilitude.
