  • Samsung's variation of the Serenata: SGH-i450

Well, it looks like the collaboration between the 2 has allowed Samsung to make continued use of B&O technology and design. While ICEpower amps have been used in Samsung mobiles before, it does look like Samsung was allowed to share more extensively with B&O for their now officially announced SGH-i450. Check out some details from the announcement

  • Re: Anyone else want to use the Serenata as a speaker for other sources?

By the way, I just wanted to clarify something. After rereading my original title and post, I think it may be a little confusing. Ideally, what I want is a speaker the size of the Serenata or smaller that can be used with any source and includes the same EQ abilities applied to the incoming signal so that the sound stays clean at all volume levels.

jazz: I wonder how B&O would go with making a portable music player like this without the phone functions..... jazz You have to think that it will be seriously considered for the next gen replacement for the BeoSound 6. Certainly there are folks who prefer a different phone but who like the player and speaker aspects. Of course, while it would be

I'm going to respond to some of the feedback here, but I just wanted to say first that my responses are not intended to be argumentative just because I like my idea. I asked for people to comment, so I respect their opinions and their own thoughts on usefulness. We can certainly disagree, however. David: In answer to your question, I highly doubt

  • Anyone else want to use the Serenata as a speaker for other sources?

Ok, so I've read up on the Serenata including the 2 reviews posted here and their associated follow-up up Q&As. To me, the Serenata is one feature short of being a very desirable product. Simply put, if it had a line input, I'd be sold. What I'd love to see is a high quality ultraportable speaker that I could use with any source I chose

  • Re: BeoWorld Presents... Serenata!

This is probably unlikely, but I figured I'd ask just the same. In MTP connection mode to a PC running BeoPlayer, is there any setting to output audio to the Serenata's speaker? In other words, basically using the Serenata's speaker instead of those attached or built into your PC. Ideally, I would have liked to see a line input on the Serenata's

  • Re: The Serenata has launched!

Puncher: Given comments elsewhere it would be interesting to hear the Satanta (sorry Serenata) in its "stand alone player" mode with different genres of music playing rather than the (very pleasant) music demoed on the Serenata site. This will be difficult in the dealers however because of the lack of memory card slot, unless they are prepared

rgbyhkr: While I'm sure this will be tested, it would be great to get feedback on the output volume and clarity of the built-in speaker. Basically, is this a device that should only be used when you're sitting right in front of it or can it fill a room with sound? Certainly, no one expects output approaching a BeoSound unit, but how far can
