  • Beocom 1600 / 2400 / 2500 - How to...?

Does anyone know what sequence of keys I need to press in order to store some phone numbers in one or more of the memory locations (Beocom 1600 this is) i.e. key in phone number then...? ENTER > MEMORY (No:) or ENTER (then key in number, then...) ENTER Think I've tried about 8 possibile combinations of buttons with no luck... And it's supposed

Panic over.... well, there's no bulb blown or fuse or, well, anything really. I lifted the platter off, to begin the search for the fuse holders... got distracted cleaning the platter. Need a new belt of course (Martin) so put it all back. Then I had a go at lifting up the metal plate to expose the copper springs and arm control contacts. Gave them

  • Beogram 4000 > Too good to be True!!!

Oh well it had to happen. I just finally picked up a Mint beogram 4000 (had others but not as nice so got rid). This isn't the one that's on ebay for £200+ I got mine for a LOT less. Apart from the SP15 that was broke on arrival (doh!) and a spare MMC4000 I had which only has sound on the right channel... I finallly got the deck working

  • Re: MX4000 speaker problem

I had an MX5500 with same fault! But my guess... MX4000 + storage = dry joint. Is there sound in both channels from the headphone output so we can eliminate everything to do with reception, audo demodulation + decoding and preamplification. Leaving only the power amp stage (+ associated Power Supply) and connections. Having said all that, to test these

  • Re: Beolink, on the blink?

Thanks. So you're saying if I just swap out the Beolink Converter and put a Beolink Video in its place it will work. Is there anything I need to set up on the TV? And, once set, can I just then press 'LINK + V.TAPE' etc on the Link room TV and it will send those commands to the Master Video source (AVANT in this case). How does the Link

Peter, Could it be that I need to be using a Beolink Video box http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=982 instead of the Beolink Converter for the MX? I thought that the Beolink Converter I have (type 1611 sw 1.3) would have done the same job as the former Beolink Video box??

  • Re: Beolink, on the blink?

Hi Peter, Well, I tried option 6, made no difference. So I've gone round and checked all the system devices and cables by using the 'half-split' method of using a good path then swapping in and out variious elements to maybe isolate a hardware fault. So I've done that, both Beoconverters are fine all ML and AAL cables are fine. So I'm

  • Re: Beolink, on the blink?

Peter, OK, sorry, I spotted it, PCG Product Configuration Guide. But can't find it on the site. Does it have all the ML 'How To' for using Beo 4 and / or BL1000. Getting it set up right is the first issue, but I'm a bit of a Multi Room virgin, having only just found, after 10 years of looking, an AAL cable (7 pin) long enough (20m) to

Hey, Thanks for all the replies, Peter I will try the MX options you suggest. I never remembered that there were more options to try other than 1 + 2. My old MX5500 used to respond to options 1,2,4 I think, which made it do funny things. Didn't know about option 5,6 etc. I will give it a go tonight and report back, thanks. I did suspect that it
