• Re: Any new BeoLab in the near future?

Of course it is down to personal preferences, so that's the reason why I stress that not all Beolabs should switch to ALT because it is not a perfect technology where the results will be everyone's fancy. My point is that B&O is better off upgrading the drivers of those Beolabs than to add ALT. Aren't you getting my point? Didn't

Wonderfulelectric, your post is confusing, to say the least. The acoustic lenses are a major breakthrough in sound reproduction
I'm no audio engineer, but there was a massive difference between the BL6000s and BL3s. I tested some BL3s when I owned the BL6000s, over a weekend
Wonderfulelectric, your post is confusing, to say the least. The acoustic lenses are a major breakthrough in sound reproduction, in line with many other advances that are seeking to mine the impact of room reflections. Consider Wilson's Alexandria speakers, that electronically recreate the room reflections. It's

Why all the enthusiasm around the acoustic lens? It is a good solution for wide sound dispersion but sure isn't the only solution. Some rooms cannot deal with such a wide dispersion besides the lens tends to put more emphasis on horizontal dispersion than lateral dispersion: there's a recent trend of moving towards narrow dispersion BTW, a loudspeaker

  • Re: Headphones

I have the Bose QC3 and believe me, no way is it worth the money. The build quality is horrible and the sound is just lo-fi just like their speakers. I had actually accidentally snapped them into 2 while I was using them lying down on my bed. B&O headphones are very good value for the money but if you will want to spend more on headphones, may I

  • Re: NEW PRODUCTS ANNOUNCMENT

All looks very promising. I like the concept of the BV10 so it is nice to see the range going under the pipeline. Anyways the subwoofer with opposing drivers with no vibration is hardly innovative. B&W PV1? Martin Logan subs? Ring a bell? The whole idea of having opposing drivers is to cancel off unwanted vibrations. I suspect this sub will be more

  • Re: BL8000's - I'm on a budget!

What a bargain! If it doesn't work for you in the long run, you can either use them in a secondary system or just think of it as owning iconic B&O pieces.

  • Re: Beosund 9000 issue - advice needed

I am so surprised that B&O is still producing the Beosound 9000s, it is one of the most unreliable product they ever produced. I know it isn't their fault but part of the complexity of the design itself. Why still produce the Beosound 9000s when you have to constantly deal with customers bringing back in for servicing and repairs?

  • Re: Beo4 with Sony BDP-S550

I have the Sony's too and I must say that it is a piece of junk. I am so going to get a new Blu ray player. Do you know that sometimes the player hangs without a reason while playing back your movie? Also it is shockingly slow. Thank god I got it for free when I got my tv though.

  • Re: Beolab 6000 v Beolab 4000 speakers - Which would you go for ???

From a scientific viewpoint, the Beolab 4000s will have a better sound than the Beolab 6000s. Mainly because it is a lot shorter and only has single drivers producing a certain frequency range. With everything else being equal, a short speaker will have better control of cabinet resonances than a tall speaker, and single drivers producing a predetermined
