I too would also like know generally people's more recent experiences on connecting non B&O panels to the Beosystem 3. Is the picture no good from non B&O panels connected to BS3? I also have trouble understanding the price of the B&O panel.

We watch our 32" avant from a distance of about 12 ft (4 metres) and would not consider watching anything above 42" from this distance. I don't think you can enjoy watching a 42" screen from a distance of only 8ft (about 2.5 metres) you would have to move your head from sided to side and up and down the screen to take in the details

Have you tried switching the tv off for a while then switching it on a bit later?. How many hours did you leave the channel on for? If it has been left on for a long time, and switching it off for a while then on again does not remove it, then I'm afraid it will be permanent.
