This is one of the few beocentres you can do this. The Beocentre 3500 was a Beomaster 3000 with a turntable cobbled on, quite effectively as it turns out. This shows up because the Beocentre still has the external turntable connections that belonged to the original Bemaster 3000. On the back of the Beocentre 3500 you will see two connections for turntables

The first thing I ever bought was a Beogram 2400 from a dealer in Portsmouth that had a sale. I didn't even have an amp to connect it but I knew I had to have it. Had to wait a year to hear it for the first time, I had to keep it in storage as there was no space on board ship.

The one I use just about every day is my Beomaster 900M, alarm goes off and I just reach out and switch on. My other favourite is a Beomaster 2000 which I have paired up with a pair of Type K speakers.

Thats the way it was designed to work, I think it was only on THe late versions of this cassette player, such as the Beocord 2400, that the VU meters operated during playback

No, you'd need CX100's and a Cona subwoofer to do it any sort of justice, and they just don't move enough air. If you are stuck for space then you'd probably need to consider wall mounted speakers, RL140, or the Beovox 5000 panels. Pentas don't take up much ground space.
