  • Error reading setup initialization file

I'm trying to setup the Beo5CTSetup_1.30.exe config tool on my PC and I get the above error message as soon as I try to run it. The file is 68372kb and comes from a reliable source and I have tried downloading it afresh a couple of times. I've turned off my Zonealarm and AVG antivirus which makes no difference. Have also tried removing all previous

  • Re: Beo Vision 3 TV

From memory cost me about AU$300 but that included guy coming to house and fitting it together with a new STB-C chip. Didn't need software update for 3yr old TV

I agree - think you can only use the surround module. Good news is that it is still available as I've just had one fitted to my BV3.

  • Re: Mac mini & remote Buddy

Thanks, but looks like Salling Clicker not available (yet) for iPhone. Will probably start by (dare I say it now that this thread has been moved to the Mac forum ) not buying the Mac Mini and sticking with my windows-based system and trying Signal. Thanks for everyone's input

That's good to hear Moxxey. Would be interested to hear of anyone's experience of using Signal in the PC environment - sounds like this might be the best way forward for me (at least cheapest to try initially)

Thanks Claes very helpful - will look into Signal. Why do you prefer Remote Buddy to Signal? Dylan

  • Re: beoplayer - how to disable

I think you need to set up "PC" as a source on the beoplayer then select this - this will allow you to run media player but send the music out to your B&O kit. Dylan

  • Mac mini & remote Buddy

I'm considering buying a Mac mini to act as a media server and allow for using a iPhone/iTouch as a remote control using Remote Buddy. A couple of questions: 1) Is the mac route the only way to go to get the ability of a "two way" remote for browsing through music files etc - pretty sure it is but just wanted to be sure as have never had

But if connected directly to Beoport you won't get any display - my 4500s display fine connected to the BS3200 but nothing when connected to beoport - which is where I use them .

  • Re: How to change the default track and folder of beoplayer?

Odd - mine always starts the last song I listened to. Don't think there's any setting for this - will have a look when next at my beoplayer PC. I presume you have more than one song in the folder Dylan
