Thank god I can say that the motor is fine. The only thing is that the small wheel, which turns the turntable via the belt, will only spin when i pull it towards me (so towards the front of the machine). It didn't work with the cable on at first, but eventually it did (although the freakin cable keeps falling off). And Peter, I'll try you're

Well Jaff, if the motor doesn't turn if I push the lift button, I'm screwed ain't I?

What if I don't see the small wheel turn (the wheel around which the belt is span)? I'm screwed then ain't I?

I'll check it again in a few days (the TT is not with me atm), but I recall the last time I pressed the lift button it didn't spin automatically (maybe I did a bunch of other things at the same time). When I pressed the button and spinned the table by hand, the arm swinged in and dropped and at the end it went to its original position. So i

Thank you peter, I'll consider that. How about the lift-button that doesn't seem to work?

So the tightening screws could be the issue regarding the lift button too? Or are these problems completely non coherent? (Sorry if I don't get it all, I'm quite new to the TT world). Greetings

The transport safety screws are the screws on top of the turntable (without the platter on it?). I still will have the problem with the lift button (or is that fixed too by loosening the screws?).

  • Beocenter 3500

Recently I found a Beocenter 3500 on the attic of my gran. Luckely it still works, but i'm concerned about the TT (the main reason why I wanted it :) ). The TT-belt has been off for a while (for some reason it was jammed underneath the center rotor (on which the record turns)). When i try to put it on, it slips down by itself when i turn the rotor

  • Re: MMC2 cartridge.
