I'm coming to the same conclusion about technology and speakers Tim. Should make the Beolab 5's a bargain maybe. This year a Beolit 12 in Blue, and maybe a Beocentre 23 with DAB for the bedroom

Both OLED and Sony's new Chrystal lcd look fascinating with OLED going on sale to "millioniares" at the end of this year. The Chrystal screens look a good bet as they are a new take on current technology, but still giving near OLED images. I agree. I just don't get it. I have Mac full of lossless music, and the ability to download radio stations all connected through Apple tv. I mute the screen and hey presto.

Your money will go along way with any of the used dealers. Beolab 8000 front, 6000 rear i find are a very stylish but affordable start. The Beolab 2 is an amazing earth shattering thing at times, but a hopeless oaf at others. Primarily music. You will need a AV processor as well to distribute the sound so don't put out of your mind a Beovison 7

The price for B&O tv's is getting ridiculous in my book. Why they didn't make a Beovision 6-32 is beyond me if they could have kept things under £3-4,000. If products like the Beosound 8/Beolit 12 fill the coffers, so the company has the luxury of gambling on some extravagance then thats fine. Hopefully it will introduce then next

Rolex are a top brand, and they seem to make money(not profit apparently). It's either their Chinese parts offshoot, or it's the low labour costs of the Democratic Workers Collective that is Switzerland . Neither i suspect. But they do charge alot of money and seem to sell alot of watches.

Myself and the other "last of the Summer Wine" Chris are both proud Miele Men. It's a shame Dyson moved from the Malmesbury factory but I guess the company has moved into a different league volume wise. I once delivered some goods to the Tannoy building in north London, but am not sure if they make goods there still. Marshalls was another
