Yes. Any of the cartridges MMC1 - the best specified - to the MMC5 - the most basic - can be fitted. The Soundsmith SMMC4 is the usual cartridge advised these days but clearly that will be expensive.

Probably less optimistic! I think it will be a component failure in the amplifier. Will be very happy to be proved wrong though!!

You cannot 'link' as the Century has no Datalink. But you should be able to play the sound via Aux. 5 pin DIN is all you need.

I would certainly get a Beoport and an iPod Touch and revel in two way control! On the non B&O front, a nice big external HDD for the Time Machine!

For this system, the Beogram CDX is the easiest by far. Connects to the Tape 2 input and also has a lovely analogue character to it. Apart from some solder joints, almost indestructible!

I am afraid he probably needs the upgrade. Sky+ is often not listed on Avants.
