Sure Simon, I genuinely am going to attempt it tomorrow. I have an Avant 32" VCR with Pentalabs at the front. I hid these cables under the house in 1993 when I got the Pentas and my 7000 system. My late wife was a very house proud person and she wouldn't have let me trail wires across the carpet! This is my motivation so I WILL have a go tomoz

Hi Simon. I bought some Beolab 8000s just about the time the old site crashed. I'm embarrassed to say that my wires are still trailing across the carpet I need to put a power socket in a brick wall behind the settee and also run the powerlink cables under the house. The gap under my house is about 1 cubit deep and full of builders rubble from 1909

Just to reiterate what Graham said, Lee posted THIS a while back. Andy T.

eduard: I have a BS-9000 aswell, and I am sorry to say, but but when you are near the BS-9000 you really can hear the CD spinning, even a friend in Belgium had the same problem. So I do believe that there is a " problem" with the BS-9000, mine is not near the sofa, it got a lonly spot in the livingroom, so I do not hear anything! Oh my god

tom: I have one too. Use it mainly as an alarm clock. I listen to it with A8s, as I do not want to wake up SHMBO lying next to me. In the morning, I like the snooze function osf the timer. Tom, How on earth can you go to sleep with A8s on? Are you not afraid of strangling yourself then waking up dead? That would be a surprise for SWMBO Andy T.

Brian Waddell: Hi, I think the serene in its present form will be around for years. It isn't meant to date, unlike other more 'modern' designs. It will be like bs9000 or bl8000 etc, which although ten years old are still 'special' Brian I agree, Brian. I paid £745 for mine as it had been on a rotating shop display for two months
