Hmm... probably some internal data signal bleeding into audio. I suppose the coming and going of the sound corresponds to the display changing on the Beomaster? I can actually hear some bleeps and buzzes on my BM6500 if I select an unused source and crank up the volume near to max. Now what to do about it, I dunno... is it on radio as well or just the

IMHO, however easy people claim the reclothing will be, they will not look original, so... Do you want frets that look factory new? -> buy new frets from B&O Can you live with the minor defects in the ones you bought? -> get a partial refund, maybe spend 15 minutes for a makeover (cut away the sticking threads)... The original wall mount bracket. They aren't available new anymore, but you can get a reproduction from here: http://www.stbbrackets.co.uk/ The price of £30 includes delivery anywhere, so they really aren't that expensive. They are essentially just a hook though (look at the datasheet), so you might try DIY as well...

It's probably more difficult to source 0.5T hard drives today... they could've of course limited it by software to avoid this annoying spec change (seriously, it could've been 2TB as well with practically no extra cost)

Try the service manual for Beomaster 2000, it's very similar. At least mechanically
