The last 2-3 years all of my music has been purchased on line. Now that Amazon is selling non-DRM material, and iTunes is gradually making more high bit-rate, non DRM material available, I've been very happy with the results. I don't buy movies as a rule, I rent, if I can't find it on iTunes, I will break down and drive to Blockbuster Video

BeoLab 9's one month old and 40% off? Were you wearing a mask and holding a gun when you popped in? Waving around 'candid pics'? Russ PS. I'm with Keith here, you have the system on 2 different power circuits in the house, based on your description. This alone is quite often sufficient to cause such a problem...but you say that it just

TripEnglish: I think Trip's basket of Kittens must be pulling his leg. A beer cooler, now that I could understand. I do think it will be interesting to see how B&O address the different situations presented by an audio-only BS-5 set up and one involving a BV-7 or 9. Russ Gosh Darn these Public access computers! Russ

Don't forget that, since the 2500 doesn't have a line in setting, you will need a BeoLab 2 line in adaptor to provide the 'turn on' trigger. Russ

Honestly, unless there is an issue with screen size, no one wants a BV-4 more than a BV-7. If you love your Avant, you will love its 'Grandson'. Russ

Thanks for the hand-off Trip. Here we go back ot the OP question. BS-9000 to BV-7 via ML. BS-9000 to BL-5 via copper S/PDIF, and the speakers daisy chained. BV-7 to BL-5 via fully wired PL. NO 'crossover/synch' cable needed. In this case the BeoLab 5's "see" the volume and source information coming down the data/display leads in

BeoLab 3500 is a lost cause in this instance. It is a special purpose 'network' speaker mean for use on B&O's proprietary multi-room network, with an apppropriate B&O audio or video master. Happily, the BeoLab 8000 has a traditional RCA-style line level input, below the flip-out panel for AC and PowerLink. Set the input switch to

Indeed it is. But it is a hand-sected Samsung Panel, presented behind a carefully manufactured piece of glass. Your milage may vary. Russ PS If you have to save a bit..by all means buy the BS-3 and save on the display!

Not the thread to begin this discussion, I suppose...see Lee's remark to Trip above...but while the idea of voice activation keeps coming up, I wonder, really, if it is ever really thought out...simple example...spinning through my Motown collection, only to have it all come to a crashing halt when Diana Ross Sings 'Stop!' at the very beginning

I think Trip may just be sleep deprived. Bleating, mewling, and boy are his arms tired! First let me remind the group assembeled that mere days ago we were debating B&O' worst product/design. Surely we recognize that B&O's portfolio sports a few klunkers. In point of fact the earlier post listing iconic points on the modern timeline
