Greg: I know there's been similar posts before but wanted to share my own experience, as someone - a B&O enthusiast - looking to replace our old TV. Naturally enough, I kind of assumed I'd be going down the B&O route. Having looked into it in some detail over the past year, reluctantly I'll be looking elsewhere, and here's my

BarryAndrew: Thanks to all of you for your comments which I am digesting. It would be nice to bring them round for an "in house" audition but I am trying not to use my local dealer. I am trying not to fund what I consider to be failure! Unfortunately I live in Cornwall and there is only one dealer-- a monopoly produces high prices and poor

Santiago: 355f: Would you say the sound is superior to B&O standard dvd in 5.1?? I hope you remember well what I explained you about Panasonic Blu-ray and BS3+BV4 demo at my dealer shop. About the sound: The difference that all of us (5 persons including Beo-people) felt between the DTS-HD audio track and the DD5.1 audio in the same film is sooooooo

vinnie21: Hi, the PlayStation 3 has been added to the Beo5 config tool, not sure if this helps with future questions. Not sure how this will work as I dont think it has been added to the PUC list so it can be added to the Bsys 3. Im not sure how that makes sense as my understanding is that PS3 uses bluetooth not IR for its commands?????

Thankyou for this response. Do i take it that you just operate the PS3 using the bluetooth as it cant be operated via beo4/5?? have you the 40gb or 60gb version? some comments refer to the fact that the sound on PS3 is not as good as a stand alone player- can you comment on this? Would you say the sound is superior to B&O standard dvd in 5.1?? regards

David: Try www.avforums.com Lots of info about Blueray there. Cheers, David. Yes I know! but gthe question is how BS3 handles these issues and no one on AV forums will know that- hence asking the question here!!

This is a sort of re- post as the answers were limited before Does anyone use blue ray- or indeed are they interested! But I have hope as we have THREE pages on bending a powerlink lead! so there is life out there- in some form! What blue ray players are you using with BS3/bv9/4 We have had one comment saying platstation 3 looked amazing- but this has

Im sure its more of a case that one 'gets used' to the sound of a new speaker rather than any actual changes that take place. There might be a little argument for this with high powered bass drivers where they can sometimes be very tight because of gthe loadings involved but in tyhe case of the little paper drivers in 8000- nothing changes

Alex: The BeoSystem 3 gives you an option to choose the sound source, either SPDif or HDMI. I'm pretty sure it supports 'uncompressed' Dolby Digital, it sounds pretty outstanding with BlueRay DVDs, which have TrueHD encoded soundtracks I believe. Noticeably better than normal DVDs... In order to access the new hi-def audio formats, you need
