• Re: What is your favourite B&O reciever/amplifier?

Interesting that you kept the 6000 Quad Peter! Is this more because of its rarity than the way it sounds, as you've always been a bit unimpressed with the amp haven't you? Anyway, I have something approaching a similar collection myself: Beomaster 8000/Beogram 8002/Beocord 8004/Beogram CDX/Beovox Pentas Beomaster 6000 Quad/Beogram 4002/Beogram

Looks great Dario :) My Beolab 5000 isn't serviced either, but still sounds great. I think it's testament to how well built and designed they are that they can survive 40 odd years into the future and still function to a high standard!

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Got one of my favourite albums on double vinyl the other day after I won £25 of HMV vouchers. Listening to 'Rolling People' from Urban Hymns by the verve on my Beolab 8000 system.

You won't have any display... but I am not certain the 2400 would even push display data in the first place???
No. Although I guess it can be done as you suggested, IMHO using these speakers with this Beomaster is a waste of both devices.
Pointless. What is the

  • Re: The Ultimate Paypal Betrayal of Sellers

In the UK at least what happened to caveat emptor ? These PayPal rules are a load of old b£ll%cks designed to reassure nervous people like my mum who have the fear that 'the computer' will store all their personal details and somehow massively defraud them. I always buy with caution - why do we need these elaborate buyer protection policies

No timers in the BV10 - if I had not had the BC2, I would have had to pull out one of my older systems as my avant used to act as the master. Incredible decision.
Or you could use a beotime.
No - not the FLUTE!!!

M3 = nice car :) I've got a soft spot for the 80s E24 M6. Took an Interceptor for a test drive a few years back, but ended up with a TR6 instead. My girlfriend hated the Interceptor and said I looked like I was driving a Welsh dresser! Need to work on her over the next few years I think. Sounds like you'll be ok when you finish. Having a B&O

Had to work four years to save up the fees alone and sell my lovely old MGB to boot :(
You're doing a second degree and sold a classic car to do it (MGs aren't my thing but as a car fanatic myself I can imagine
