Rex Radio seem to have a good reputation for servicing the older stuff. Their details come up if you "google" them.

Not had the invoice yet but as the last lot were £25 each I'm guessing and hoping that this latest lot will be no more than £30!
After speaking to 2 dealers replacement drivers are no longer available! My dad has a refoam kit off ebay I will let you know how he gets on! Cheers and enjoy!!
I have just received 4 new mid drivers from B&O!! I suspect that your dealers can't be bothered.
-
Are you sure that your original laser is faulty?? Who diagnosed the fault??
-
ok thanks Graham. For your info it is on ebay and was apparently taken from a MS6000 so this should be ok then...? I think £10 is value for me (assuming knowone else bids!) but it stings that I got an LX5500 and motorised stand for £5 last year!!! Gave them to my mum though..
I just sold two for £30
-
Did they change the interface as well as the plug then? I will contact them and see...
The 5 pin motor is only compatible with MX8000 and MX4200 The motor is different and the control system/mechanism is different. It is NOT possible to modify one to fit the other.
-
Your LX will have a stand socket with 4 pin holes. Make sure that the motor on the stand has a plug with 4 pins and you will be compatible.
-
It will depend on the quality of repair that you are willing to tolerate! I would just order a new one. Blemishes in this particular design are almost impossible to remove to my satisfaction.
Is there any product or solution to remove some superficial scratches more like swirls on a pair of Beolab 4000 silver?
If you polish though the anodised surface you will ruin the appearance and it cannot be restored. Personally, I would leave well alone. You have been warned!

It doesn't appear in some s/w issues. Try N RADIO, it's the same command!
