Rex Radio seem to have a good reputation for servicing the older stuff. Their details come up if you "google" them.

Not had the invoice yet but as the last lot were £25 each I'm guessing and hoping that this latest lot will be no more than £30!

Are you sure that your original laser is faulty?? Who diagnosed the fault??

[quote user="Step1"] Did they change the interface as well as the plug then? I will contact them and see... [/quote] The 5 pin motor is only compatible with MX8000 and MX4200 The motor is different and the control system/mechanism is different. It is NOT possible to modify one to fit the other.

Your LX will have a stand socket with 4 pin holes. Make sure that the motor on the stand has a plug with 4 pins and you will be compatible.

It will depend on the quality of repair that you are willing to tolerate! I would just order a new one. Blemishes in this particular design are almost impossible to remove to my satisfaction.

It doesn't appear in some s/w issues. Try N RADIO, it's the same command!
