• Re: Red line speakers
My mistake - I assume I mean the MC150's! BTW - the name's Pu n cher!
You're forgiven Poucher. I had some of those beasts as well. Absolutely breath takingly good but the wifes suitcases came out again when she saw them. It was a much closer call though this time deciding which of them had to go

The MC120.2's are actually surprisingly compact Pucher. To give you an idea, they share the same grill covers as the S55's. Mine are in white which makes them even less conspicuous. Just a shame I cannot mount them on floor stands while the grandkids are at that "I wonder what happens if I pull off this grill & push my finger into this

  • Re: Beogram CDX problems playing Disc

Hopefully you will get this sorted out soon. I am surprised that no-one has mentioned the vast archive of user & service manuals available on Beoworld. For just £15 per year you can access this database & also use the sales/wanted sections. For £30 you also get automatically entered into every monthly prize draw while ever your membership

  • Re: Red line speakers

I agree - wall mounted is the best option. I've owned RL35's, RL45.2's, RL60.2's & RL140's. Of all of them the 140's were easily the best sounding but they had to go before SWMBO packed her bags & left, simply too imposing for most homes. A very very well balanced speaker but not as good as my MC120.2's as a comparison

  • Re: B&O prices through the years
My father always used to compare prices with Mars bars. When I was small, a mars bar cost 4d (old pence for the youngsters amongst us!) Nicely wrapped it was as well though the size was slightly smaller than some later incarnations of the standard bar!
If only past governments had abandoned the gold standard

  • Re: Cartridge Adapter For RX Turntable

The problem with mounting anything other than a MMC* cartrifge will be setting the tracking weight. You will need to fashion something appprox' the same weight as the cartridge which won't be easy but good luck if you have a go Chris. PS, welcome to Beoworld.

  • Re: Cartridge Adapter For RX Turntable

No such adaptor due to the lightweight nature of the MMC* cartridges. B&O did produce an adaptor to enable these cartridges to be used on other turntables but not the other way round I'm afraid. Chris.
I meant "good for you" in a good sporting way. Sorry if my message got lost in translation.
Not at all lost in translation Chris, I knew exactly what you meant & these comments just enforce my belief that I did the right thing. Chris.
