I think you would be better off going in from above. Martin

Yes, Frede from Classic Audio can definitely be recommended. If the coils inside the cartridge are OK (producing sound in both channels, however distorted etc.), the cartridge can be repaired. Martin

Marco, Welcome to Beoworld ! I may be able to hlp you but there are so many knobs used on these lovely machines. First; Are you sure that the volume and tuning knobs are correct ? It's not unusual to find that the volume and/or tuning knobs are actually the tonecontrol knobs that were moved to these more important positions when the others got lost
-
Yes, what I meant was that if the readout is correct, as in corresponding to the actual tuned station, the prescaler is probably fine. The displayed frequency is the ordered frequency rather than the measured (or the readout above 97MHz would have shown up irregular in your case). If they don't match, the CPU corrects by sending adjustment orders
You have to have the 50 Hertz AC to run the light source to see the strobe effect LED's can only be used with DC as they are diodes.
If diodes didn't work with AC, they would have no use at all. LED's will work fine, I'm sure. They light up when current flows through them. Being diodes

Nice work ! Typical to see that it wasn't put together correctly by a previous "repairer". It's not the easiest Beomaster to work on. I think, the original service manual came with a tool for the potentiometers, mine did, but the Dremel solution is great. The little wedges are not as difficult to work with as you may think. They slide

Welcome to Beoworld ! You will need an amplifier. Martin

Stands are both pictured and mentioned here. But I agree that they are VERY essential ! Martin

You're right, it's glued at an angle to the underside of the panel. Right below the square window, visible in your last photo. Martin

The mirror is for the strobo. IIRC it sits below the platter. Martin
