No. There is no power amplifier in either of those products so you need either powered speakers or an external power amplifier like the MCL2P .

Have a look at this thread . It is from a Beogram 4004 but if we are lucky, the FR,FL and earths will be the same colours! You won't have the proto Datalink but you will have RR and RL!

At a guess, the Beolink 1000 had a worn contact area under the buttons - this can be fixed! Glad to hear it is working again!

The first thing I would do is unlink it. If it still has problems, the fault is in the TV. I do think it is more likely that the ML system is somehow at fault though. Try unplugging the ML cable and see if it still does it. If it does, sounds like a dealer issue.

I see no reason you cannot do it. I use a cotton bud and some isopropyl alcohol on CD players. You don't need to do it very often!
