No - the SMMC20EN is better than an original CL. I don't have a SMMC 20CL though I might get one! But they are expensive!
-
Yes - the same one as the AV9000 - might be tricky to find though. No longer on the ROS.
-
If I were buying an Avant now (I already have one I bought new!), I would want: 1. The very latest Avant 32 DVD 2. STB-C with the latest software 3. DTS Certainly in the UK, all the modules were standard including Picture in Picture, Surround Sound, AR screen and STB-C.
-
We need pictures!! As far as a CL is concerned, I would strongly consider getting a Soundsmith one. I have a number of good CLs and my SMMC20EN in my opinion, sounds better. The only problem is the colour! I didn't like the black so I painted mine silver!

I don't think there is. But if you link the MX to the BV3, you can use the Sky box attached to the BV3 and control it from the MX.
-
As I understand it, there are no new ones but the old ones are remanufactured. That is why you cannot just buy one, you are supposed to trade in an old one. How accurate this is, I am not sure. I bought one a while ago and it is as new. And I have n0o idea what I paid for it! Less than the exchange Video Terminal I bought!
-
You give them your old one - they give you what would appear to be a new one. I think the body goes back to Struer and is stripped and new innards inserted. Not cheap !
-
You can get a swap re-conditioned Beolink 1000. If yours is corroded, I would suggest this route could be better.
-
I have noticed exactly the same phenomenon in B&O showrooms though not on my system.
-
Wonderful system! We have a little project on the go on Beoworld about this system which will hopefully come to fruition in the not too distant future. I wonder how many of us have this system. The only thing Andy is lacking now is the Beogram! These are a little less common. Mine will soon be winging its way to Frede at Classic Audio in Struer along
