I have no information personally but it wouldn't be too surprising - they have already updated the 4000. There are economic advantages. I do hope they don't use the amplifier from the Beolab 4 though.

Actually have just bought a pair of BL4000s today! I need some for my AV9000 and simply don't have room for floor standing speakers in the room in which it is. I could have used my BL3s but I think the 4000s match the AV9000 rather better.

You could ask your dealer for a home demo. I would lend you mine to try but I guess you are probably not that close. The Beolab 2 is excellent for films but less acceptable for music in my experience. Your problem is the lack of surround sound in the BV8 so rears will not be possible. Really a museum piece now. Condition of this sort of product is important but they are not found that often so they must have some intrinsic value. Martin might be able to advise more accurately.

What do we want from TVs these days? The problem as I see it is because of two conflicting desires. We want a TV that has a big screen and superb picture with an interesting design. However we also don't want a big black hole dominating the room. I see two ways forward.: 1. Projector with some form of unfolding screen with a wow factor. B&O

As far as I see it, we are back to an extent to the early 90s. We have an expensive to run exclusive dealer network that automatically increases the price of the product. We have a range that is skewed to the expensive end of the range which is being battered by the rapidly advancing technology and a design team that is having problems adapting to this
