  • Re: Beolink 7000 recap?

Some nice work there Leslie. SO I take it the BL7000 does not like the tantalum substitutes...? Anyway, thought I would just mention one thing - good you are wrapping up these things to protect but just a caution those pink anti-stat bags do not protect against static believe it or not, they only guarentee not to generate any! Just thought I would mention

  • Re: My new toys :)

Yes Premiumverum I didn't even have such a system in my sights last week but this rare opertunity came along and I didn't think twice! I guess you could say my non expectant wishful thoughts came true :) Not sure how long the fun will last as things are quite tuff at the moment, but maybe I can get rid of some of my other stuff first and she

  • My new toys :)

well I got myself a nice 'little' system last week.... something I had not expected to come across any time soon, not in a way that would be justifiable considering current purse-string woes anyway! Despite this, with little thought (more automatic Beo-reflex!), I clicked the BIN button, and prepared for a drive to London and back so I could

  • Re: BEOGRAM 4002 RUN TO FAST

Because unfortunately the number of whole stripes for 45rpm are not a multiple of 50hz so this is the closest you get in the UK using this method. Good enough for most and I wonder do / did record manufacturers make allowances for this?

  • Re: heavyweight vinyl beware!

Yes you will need to treat these like you would 10" records, i.e. cue manually! It was a huge letdown for B&O to omit the optical sensor in these decks especially considering the fact the deck was desgned to be operated from anywhere within the linksystem! Just imagine you had played an album the previous night, then another family member wacked

  • Re: A pen B&O would have made?

I personally like the Beoworld pens... Bit of a mind bender when you first come across one, and perhaps not quite in the same league as above but quite ingenious in a way B&O would understand!

  • Re: My Homemade BG 4400 Preset Cover

I wonder, if B&O had used your hook system if there would be quite so much of a problem these days! That is pro work - I am very impressed!

  • Re: Turntable Speed changing on Beogram 4002 (Related to my earlier post on the same 4002)

One more thing to add to Graham above is that if the bearing was dried up, the last thing you would want to be doing would be to run the player at all! I would let a drop of mineral oil sit on the bearing and let it soak in for a bit to be on the safe side!
