Yes you will need to treat these like you would 10" records, i.e. cue manually! One more thing to add to Graham above is that if the bearing was dried up, the last thing you would want to be doing would be to run the player at all! I would let a drop of mineral oil sit on the bearing and let it soak in for a bit to be on the safe side!
